Accessibility

• Contrast was measured rather than estimated, and the ratios are written into the top of the stylesheet.
• Colour is never the only way information is carried. Each of the four source classes has its name in words and its own marker shape as well as its own colour.
• The spiral chart always ships with a plain-text equivalent stating the pattern found, the source class and the reason. That text is what a screen reader receives, and it is what prints.
• Every illustration carries alt text, and no illustration carries information that is not also written in the surrounding copy.
• Motion respects prefers-reduced-motion: the radial line and every spiral are shown already drawn rather than animating in. Nothing is hidden as a result.
• Every interactive control is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
• There is a skip link to the main content at the top of every page.
• The listening checks are shown one to a screen in large type, and need no connection once the page has loaded.
• There is a print stylesheet, so a reading can be taken away on paper.

Measured against the page background, with the standard formula:

The last two sit below the 4.5:1 needed for body text, so those two colours are used only for markers and large text. Wherever those classes are named in running text, the words themselves are set in the main ink colour.

• The spiral chart is a dense figure. It scales as a whole so the radial alignment survives at phone width, but on a very small screen the plain-text version below it will often be the easier read. It is always there.
• This statement is reviewed whenever a page changes materially, not on a fixed schedule.
