Cookie notice

Cookies

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003, anything beyond what is strictly necessary needs your consent before it is set — and refusing has to be as easy as accepting.

Effective date 2026-09-10

Set without asking

These are strictly necessary, which means the service cannot work without them, and the law does not require consent for them.

  • A session cookie that keeps you signed in while you are using the service.
  • A token that protects forms against cross-site request forgery.
  • A record of the cookie choice you made, so that the banner stops asking you.

The cookie choice itself is stored in your own browser and is never sent to us.

Your choice, and changing it

The banner offers Reject all and Accept all as two buttons of the same size, the same weight and the same prominence, side by side. Neither is preselected, and closing the banner is not treated as consent.

To change your mind, clear this site’s data in your browser and the banner will ask again. Every browser also lets you block or delete cookies for a site outright; doing so may sign you out but will not stop the tool from working, because the timing match runs locally.

We honour Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal information.

Third parties

The company that hosts this site may set a cookie needed to route your request. If a payment provider or an authentication provider is switched on for this deployment, each may set its own cookies when you use it; their notices govern those.

There is no advertising network, no social media pixel and no cross-site tracker on this site.

What personal data is handled, and the rights you have over it, including the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, are set out in the privacy notice. Questions to support@scotchbon.shop.
